They say a picture is worth 1,000 words…
but it’s worth actual money when you’re photographing your home for your real estate listing. The same home can yield drastically different results when photographed well versus poorly. This has everything to do with the fact that most home buyers eliminate potential homes based on their online search. If your home is photographed well, they’ll want to see it in person. Our job is to make your home look great, but we need your help. Here’s a preparation checklist of what to do (and what not to do!).
Preparing Outside
- Clear Yard of Clutter
Remove trash, signs, trash bins, hoses etc - Clear Driveway
Remove any vehicles and objects off driveway.
Preparing Restrooms
- Clear toiletries
Remove toothbrushes,
toothpaste, and any other bottles. - Remove Towels
- Close toilet seat
- Remove trash can & clutter
- Remove Floor Rugs
Preparing the Kitchen and Living Room
- Clear any Clutter
Remove anything clutter such as toys, tv remotes, cleaning supplies, towels, clear appliances off countertops. - Turn on all lights
- Open all Blinds
- Turn off all ceiling fans
- Remove Floor Rugs
Preparing Bedrooms
- In general
Open all blinds, turn on all lights, turn OFF ceiling fans - Remove Clothing and
Laundry Baskets
. Clear Clutter on Stands
. Clean clutter under bed

All of these tips and tricks will not only boost our efficiency but increase the quality of the work itself. Most shoots only take 90min and boost your home’s marketability tremendously.
